Sidemount Diver
Sidemount Diver
We are thrilled to introduce you to a diving experience that offers unparalleled comfort, streamlining, and flexibility. The PADI Sidemount Diver course is designed to transform the way you interact with your scuba equipment, opening up new possibilities for your underwater adventures.
Sidemount diving, at its core, is a scuba configuration where instead of carrying your tank(s) on your back, you carry one or two tanks alongside your body. This subtle change creates a world of difference in how you feel and move underwater.
What you will learn:
- Gear Assembly & Configuration: How to set up and fine-tune your sidemount harness, BCD, and regulators for optimal performance.
- Tank Donning & Doffing: Mastering the art of clipping on and removing your tanks in the water.
- Buoyancy and Trim: Techniques for trimming your weight system and gear to achieve optimal balance and streamlining in the water. This is a major focus, as it enhances comfort and efficiency.
- Gas Management Drills: Practising switching regulators and managing your air supply from multiple cylinders.
- Emergency Skill Practice: Simulating solutions to potential problems, ensuring you’re prepared for any situation.
