There are several dive sites at Pemuteran. Some sites are dived from the shore and some sites are dived from a boat a short distance from the beach.

One of the most popular Pemuteran dive sites is Close Encounters, which offers a good variety of soft and hard corals. A wide variety of reef fish can be seen here, including Batfish, Trevally and schools of Snapper. Macro photographers can also enjoy this dive site with Pipefish being commonly seen and chances of Croccodilefish, Frogfish in addition to a wide variety of nudibranch.

Napolean Reef also offers macro opportunities and is very popular generally with photographers. This dive site is good for both day diving and night diving.

In addition to the more well-known sites mentioned above, Pemuteran also has its own rich Macro dive site. The elusive Mimic Octopus can sometimes be seen, as well as the more common Frogfish and Nudibranch.
