Amed’s black volcanic sandy beach offers two diving sites. The dive starts at a shallow area of 3 to 8 meters in a wonderful coral garden, breaking the surface with a staghorn coral field and many schools of fish. You might even encounter turtles and bumphead parrotfish. This is one of Bali’s best snorkelling areas. A moderate current will guide you to the drop off’s edge, which drops to a depth of 35 meters. It is beautifully adorned with soft coral and many species of reef fish can be found.
